Systems that changed the day-to-day.

Not advice, not decks — working systems in real Canterbury businesses. What was leaking, what we built, and what changed.

Food-waste collection & recycling · Canterbury

Hungry Worms

The situation

Hungry Worms collects food waste from homes and businesses and turns it into compost. Growth brought a very physical problem into the office: every pickup had to be logged, every customer wanted to see the impact of their composting, and every month meant hours of copying numbers around to report on it. The operation was growing faster than the paperwork could keep up.

What we built

01

Pickup logging

Every collection recorded once, properly, as it happens — no re-keying, no lost dockets.

02

Operations & customer dashboards

The team sees today's runs at a glance; customers see their own sustainability impact without asking.

03

Automated monthly impact reports

The reports that used to eat hours each month now build and send themselves.

Hungry Worms is a food-waste collection and recycling service, and one of our core tasks is tracking pickups and showing customers their sustainability impact. Mainland Growth Partners built the systems that run it: pickup logging, operations and customer dashboards, and automated monthly impact reports. Practical, hands-on work that changed how we operate day to day — not just advice.
